Linwood Field is directly across from Sundeen Furniture in Northbridge on RTE 122. There is a basketball court directly to the left of the field
Northbridge is very excited to announce the opening of their new fields for the spring 2008 soccer season. The U12 and above fields are now located behind the new High School on Linwood Ave. Parking for the fields is located on the far right hand side of the school. There is no parking at the fields and a 5 minute walk up a fairly steep hill should be taken into account when teams and referees are traveling in from out of town. An ambulance/handicap access road is available on game days.
Rt 56 N to Paxton Rt 122 N to Rutland and on into Barre. In the center of Barre, take Rt 32 south (Vernon Ave) and go approx 3-4 miles south. There will be a sign for “the Quabbin Bulldogs” on the left. Take that gravel road. The soccer field is next to the football field. A landmark close by will be a brand new log cabin on rt 32 just near the sign.
From Route 9 or South Quinsigamond Avenue at Lake Street - Lake Street Fields are located 1.4 miles south of Route 9 on Lake Street (approximately 1.0 mile past Glavin Fields) or 0.4 miles north of South Quinsigamond Avenue on Lake Street (Lake Street is 0.2 miles north of Gymnastics Learning Center entrance on South Quinsigamond Avenue) ▪ After turning into Lake Street Fields entrance, proceed to parking near the field located furthest from street.
If heading North from Spencer Center, after you pass St. Joseph’s Abbey on your left, look for the 4-H field entrance on your right. If heading South from Paxton Center, after you pass the Black & White Restaurant on your left, look for the 4-H field entrance on your left. If you see St. Joseph’s Abbey on your right, you have gone too far, turn around and head north. The 4-H entrance sign is small.
